HOWTO: Adding a Consumption object into a custom report

Last Updated: Jun 03, 2014 06:10PM CEST
In this support article we are going to explain how to add a Consumption object into a custom report.

Add consumption chart to a report template

  1. First of all, let's go to Analysis > Consumption. We select the devices and configuration we want to add into the report and click on "add to report" button below our consumption graph. In this example, we are going to select the 3 main devices from 3 different supermarkets.

  1. Then, it will appear a pop-up where we will have to indicate the custom template we want to add this new block and the corresponding interval.
  • Block name: write a distinctive name for the new block
  • Interval: indicate the interval will be ploted the block. It can be: fixed (if we want to show an specific interval of time), last day, so far this week, last 7 days, so far this month, last 28 days, last month, so far this year, last 12 months, etc.
  • Own templates: here we have to select the template where we are going to add the new block. If we haven't created any template yet, we must select "Create a new report template" and write the template name on "New template name" field. For example, Monthly report.

Chart types

We can add as many consumption blocks and chart types as we need:
- Line chart
- Bar chart
- Pie chart

Moreover, we can generate each block normalized by a custom ratio, which will help us to make comparisons between all of our locations.

Add a summary table into a report template

As before, we can add a summary table into our custom report template.

In the next example, let's add asummary table of 3 different devices, normalized by the "surface" ratio.

Then, it will appear a new pop-up where we should indicate the basic information of the new block added to our custom report template.
  • Compare with: period to compare with. We can choose between previous period, same period last year or any period.
  • Order table by: order the table by one of the columns of the table. We can sort ascending or descending.
  • Own templates: here we have to select the template where we are going to add the new block. If we haven't created any template yet, we must select "Create a new report template" and write the template name on "New template name" field. In that example, we are going to add the summary table to the report previously created: Monthly report.
Once we have added all the blocks into the report template, it's time to generate the custom reports. In the next article, we are going to see how!
